Cyrus Oils is an essential oils and natural wellness brand based in Mogappair, Chennai, operating under Cyrus Enterprises. We supply 100% pure essential oils, cold-pressed carrier oils, herbal hair and skin oils, butters, gels and diffuser products to customers across India.
The brand started for a simple reason. Working in and around the natural products trade in Tamil Nadu, we kept meeting the same problem: bottles labelled “100% pure” that were nothing of the sort. Essential oils cut with cheap carrier bases. Synthetic fragrance compounds sold as steam-distilled oil. Labels that listed a botanical name the contents had never been near. For an ordinary customer, there was no practical way to tell the difference at the point of purchase — and no accountability when the product underperformed.
Our Story
Working in and around the natural products trade in Tamil Nadu, we kept meeting the same problem from different directions. Bottles labelled “100% pure” that were nothing of the sort. Essential oils cut with cheap carrier bases to stretch volume. Synthetic fragrance compounds sold as steam-distilled oil, with a botanical name on the label the contents had never been near. The difficulty for an ordinary customer is that adulteration is close to invisible at the point of purchase. Two bottles sit side by side on a shelf or a product listing. Both say pure. One costs a third of the other. Nothing on either label lets you tell which claim is true, and by the time the product underperforms — the oil that does not diffuse properly, the carrier oil that turns rancid in six weeks, the hair oil that does nothing at all — the seller is long past caring.
That meant deciding some things early and not moving on them. Purity stated plainly on the label, with dilution disclosed and the ratio given where a product is blended. Extraction method named on every product page, because steam-distilled and solvent-extracted are not the same thing and customers deserve to know which they are buying. Purity begins at the source, not in the bottling room. An oil that arrives adulterated cannot be corrected later — it can only be sold dishonestly or rejected. So our controls sit at the front of the process. Sourced from trusted growers and extractors — many working with cultivation and extraction practices passed down through generations in South India
